I'm varying job; what do I do roughly strength insurance coverage for the few interim days?

I'm moving from one company to another. There is a gap of a week between my closing date with my current employer, and my start date near the new company.

My strength insurance coverage with the older company ends on my last sunshine, and my coverage with the tentative company starts on day 1. But, there's still that break of a week between them, and I don't want to be without insurance even for that small amount of time.

What are my option? Do I need to directory for COBRA? Can I wait, and lone file for COBRA if something happen, since the filing time of year is longer than the time between jobs? Are in that other options?

Answers:    You propably won't even hold enough of a break within coverage to get the COBRA paperwork. If something happen and you need it, you can opt for it consequently. Make sure you have the coverage at the brand new employer from day one until that time you refuse COBRA though...
Yes, you can cart cobra coverage. You have 60 days to settle on if you want cobra or not, so you can wait and see if something happen during that week. That's what I would do. Yes, you can wait, and solely file cobra if you entail to--but I think you foot for the whole month, irrespective if need a week's coverage.
The other thing you can do is buy a conditional plan to fill the cranny. These are cheaper than cobra. You can call an insurance agent and ask just about temporary, short residence insurance. The premium will be determined by your age and health. Good luck at your topical job.
