I can't obtain on Medicaid --- serve?

I live in Dallas, TX.

I'm 18, womanly, not pregnant, nor do I have a kid living near me.

I am UNEMPLOYED (trying to get a job) and enjoy NO income.

I live with my friend, he probably make $20-$30k/year.

A hospital I recently go to said I didn't qualify because I wasn't pregnant and didn't have a kid living beside me.

What -- the -- HELL?

What am I supposted to do? I need to see a doctor scantily but I have no insurance (obviously) and no money.

Thanks!
Just go to the doctor. And catch a job, to engender money to pay him. Or a second commission.

The medicaid income guidelines are strict, but they are MUCH more lenient if you are pregnant - something like 4X as high. They're also lax for your child, if you have a kid living next to you.
In America your rewarded for bringing children into the world when you cant supervision for them so go do that. Welcome to the unadulterated world. Try another hospital or maybe your friend can backing you until you get on your foot.

Answers:    Then if you don't qualify for Medicaid, shift to a free clinic or local hospital and apply for Charity Care. Please do not go out and own a child to get medical coverage, and also be mindful that within are many "employed" individuals out within in the U.S., that do not hold health insurance or passable of substantial medical insurance. Also, if you were a full time student surrounded by most colleges, they provide health services to students for little or no fees, conceivably applying to college would be the way to dance, you get an childhood and you can have some medical coverage for at tiniest 4 years and a part time livelihood, there you shift, McDonalds or another establishment in the close to. If you sit and dwell on the no insurance situation as opposed to trying to solve the situation, it will not obtain any better. Do some leg work, you are on the computer, Google? I pray all go well for you. God Bless.
Borrow the $ from your friend and see the doctor. It doesn't cost as much as going to the emergency room, which you may wind up have to do if you don't see your doctor soon. When you get a errand, pay your friend pay for, it shouldn't cost more than $80 to see your doctor without insurance. I meditate the hospital doesn't know what it's talking more or less. 18 year olds ARE eligible as a child. You should be eligible for Medicaid up to age 19. Your friend's income shouldn't have anything to do next to it. Call your local HHSC office or ring up 2-1-1 and tell someone nearby your situation and see if you can't be covered until age 19 as a child.
