Is pregnancy past you are on insurance cosidered a pre-exiting condition?

I am waiting to get on my husbands blue cross blue sheild insurance, we just turned the papers within today, and i also just found out today i was pregnant...if i own a blood test done and i am pregnant, will it be considered a pre-existing condition, and not be covered?

If his policy is a group insurance through an employer and you are being added due to a qualifying event (marriage, loss of your insurance or an approachable enrollment period) then pregnancy cannot be considered pre-existing.

If this is an individual policy, then it MIGHT be considered pre-existing if you have no coverage of your own prior to being added to the policy. But more info is needed to give you a better answer.

Answers:    It depends group or individual?
For individual policies pregnancy is considered a pre-existing condition. In fact individual insurance companies won't even issue coverage to the husband or children of someone specifically currently pregnant. Individual policies usually have a 6 to 9 month waiting period you hold to wait before conception can transpire otherwise you would not be covered.

For group coverage pregnancy is not considered a pre-existing condition.
Usually. You will own to check the particular policy conditions.
Yes. If its that untimely in your pregnancy, just lurk to have the blood test. The insurance should see in within a few weeks. Besides, some OBGyns won't even see you until you're around 10 weeks.
