If my child is on medicaid and not his father insurance will they brand him pay packet stern if i drop child support?

south carolina

Regardless of the child support, if dad has assets, and you put your child on welfare health insurance (medicaid), they will be in motion after him - eventually - for reimbursement.

Answers:    You can't drop child support while you are on gov assistance, medicaid included. The state won't let you. And they'll tell you that if you do, or they find out that you did, they will pinch away your benefits. This is true in every state. And until you start the support back up, if you did catch it droped, you won't be eligible for any benefits through the state.
