If i be on welfare, can the state filch the passing benefits from my natural life insurance policy when i die?
Assuming you're contained by the U.S., no. The death benefit goes directly to the name beneficiary(ies).
Only if the named beneficiary is your estate - then it become "your assets" which must pay off your liability, before your heirs can carry any of it.
Otherwise, it goes to the named beneficiary - and is outside of your estate.
Answers: They cannot take death benefits from a duration policy; that goes directly to the beneficiary. However, if you have a policy that have a cash value greater than $1500 they can require that you dosh it in while you're still alive and use the cash meaning for your health care. This usually just happens if you are receiving long occupancy care from the state. I've never heard of it individual taken for general health thought but it is possible.
