Traveler's Insurance...Question...?

I asked a question previously about my insurance company. It be Traveler's insurance. A perfect answer from a unfaultable person sounds so great but is in that REALLY not a 14 day rule.

The insurance company said here was because in that was so much fraud contained by Texas with mold, blah blah blah...

Texas and Traveler's Insurance? Yes or No?

Answers:   There's no "rule" that a claim have to be filed in 14 days. Texas uses a non-standard homeowners form. MY homeowners is with State Farm, so my form is different than Travelers. HOWEVER, you can check out the form differences here: http://www.opic.state.tx.us/hoic.php

I'm below the impression Travelers isn't writing the HO3 within TX. The exact wording on the HOA is: Sudden and accidental includes a physical loss to be precise hidden or concelaed for a time of year of time until it is detected. Any hidden or concealed damge must be reported inwardly 30 days of its detection.

I think you're chitchat to the agent, not the company here. And I suspect the agent is trying to keep their losses down - a company would NEVER influence something about fraud & mold.

So. WHEN did you discover the river problem? If it was inwardly 30 days of the time you first notified the agent, it should be covered. If you discovered it six months ago, and with the sole purpose now thought in the region of filing a claim, the WATER portion is expected excluded, but the NON-WATER portion may still be covered.
