Health insurance for those who are 60?
I recently spoke to my mother and she is tired of going from dr to dr to draw from referrels to go see anyone. MY father told her they can single get HIP due to the reality they do not have job ( they are retired). They pay a hefty amount per month 1200. I REFUSE to beleive this is the ONLY insurance they can bring right now. I am desperate to help out my mom out and get her better and smaller quantity stressful insruance. Can anyone help? And money isnt a factor I a short time ago want to make sure it is at least possible covered by a GOOD majority of drs. Thanks
There are most potential several companies that would be willing to write them. There's an excellent consumer insurance site at http://www.InsuranceEasy.org that have direct links to some of the more reliable and popular free on-line rating services.
They should be able to find some great alternatives to what they currently own by using the different direct links offered through the above mentioned site but before they nullify their current plan make sure that the topical policy doesn't have any preexisting clauses attached.
Well, it's probably NOT the individual insurance they can get, but it's sure not going to be cheaper, at that age, than $600 per personage, per month, unless they want to take on a massive deductible - close to $5,000 per person.
They would enjoy to go to a local, independent agent, to achieve some quotes.
If you don't want an HMO which requires referrals, you're looking at bigger copays - 20% per doctor call on, rather than $25.
But if money REALLY isn't a factor, why don't you a moment ago pay for the doctor visit out of pocket? That way there's NO insurance stress, and no copays for her!

You can compare adjectives the plans by coverage and price online.
If your parents have key medical conditions you will need to contact your State's Insurance Board for a guaranteed issue plan.
Answers: If she is currently being treated for high-ranking risk conditions, heart, stroke, cancer, it will be difficult to find a carrier that will adopt her without a epic waiting period, if at adjectives. Contact an independant agent or broker in your (of her) nouns and see what carriers the agent can recommend. A PPO preference would be what you are looking for, since a referral to see another doctor is usually not a requirement and it would also have the greatest choices for doctors.
