Will Cigna (Medical) Cover My "Domestic Partner"?

I live in Florida. I own Cigna through my job. Me and my boyfriend enjoy entered into a "domestic partnership". We own registered with the county and we enjoy are certificates/records.
It depends on if your employer offers coverage for domestic partner. Most don't.
I believe it depends on your employer. I own full health benefits near Cigna and have Domestic Partner coverage. It costs me an spare $90/month. I also have him covered below my dental which is MetLife. (thats why I say its up to yoru employer to proposal Domestic Parner coverage) you have to check beside your employer... Sometimes it's crazy what coverage they offer.

My husband is retired from a fortune 500 company, purely 2 years now. as you would expect our coverage is still with them. One of the young-looking men he worked with considered necessary to cover his girlfriend under "Domestic Partnership. They have all their paperwork within order purely as you do. they had be together for so long that I think they probably have a common-law marriage surrounded by most states.. lol, but the employer said no. HOWEVER, they did offer coverage for "same sex" relationships. I surmise this is an extremely open minded approach for them to purloin, however, this might be another case of bending over backwards so much that the tree have broken.

Answers:   It depends upon whether your employer allows domestic partner coverage.

Check with your HR/benefits party at work - they are the only one who is going to be capable of accurately answer the question for you.

You should be aware that domestic partner coverage is a rarity, except for nation who are residents of states that mandate it by law. Employers who extend domestic partner benefits when not required by state directive are a definite minority.
