Why the State dairy farm Insurance Company does not pay cheque the windshield chirps repair?
During the last year, I have 2 windshield chips repair. While my wife was coming stern home from work on HWY 680, a stone hits the windshield ( Benz, M 350) and chipped the front windshild. TO prevent further spread and save some money (about $700 to $1000 for replacement) for bothsides, I took it to the shop and repaired it for of late $49.99.
However, the Insurance compny notified my that windshield repairs will not be rewarded anymore!? It means, I would be better stale to pay $200 more and consent to him pay the rest ($700 - 750).
But, when they wages it couple times, then they drop your insurance. As the All State did near my home insurance for just just about $2000 after 10 years that I had 2 cars and home insurances next to them and no other claims.
Answers: State Farm stopped paying for windshield chips a long time ago. They were spending like mad of money on these repairs and rather than raise rates, they decided to apply the deductible to these types of losses.
And, getting a chip repaired is better for you than replacing the windshield. The windshield is here to keep you not dangerous and no company can replicate the seal the windshield have right out of the factory. Glass companies will always speak repairs are the way to progress.
State Farm will not drop you for comprehensive claims.
If you are concerned about this, look into lowering your comprehensive deductible. You'll be surprised how little the increase is to hold a $0 deductible. Then, chips will be paid for within full!
Because when people start getting lots of those chips, it's a clue that the driver is an inveterate tailgater. Insurance's purpose is to take protection of you when you have a LARGE or catastrophic occurence that you couldn't typically hold care of yourself
There is no restrain for "comprehensive claims". They are consider not-at-fault... Comprehensive claims include acts of God (fire, flood, snake etc), hitting an animal and any type of glass breakage (unless you did it yourself)...
Sounds similar to they've made your deductible (the amount you are required to pay if you hold a claim) higher to preserve you from using it too often!
I usually suggest a $0 or $50 for nation who don't put in alot of claims - because if one of these "strange occurences" come up. I want my clients to be able to seize their vehicles taken strictness of...
BUT you seem to be habitually using it (kinda abuse it). Some things are small and you should take precision of them yourself...
Hopefully your agent didn't take your Comprehensive OFF your policy!! Because if you mishandle it - they can strip it off and they will hold your Collision off as in good health (Collision takes attention of the at-fault accidents & hit & runs) because they are sold as a carton
