Is mobile home parks insurance liable for a tree falling on home i owe ? rent lot?
only if the tree was sick and dying, and should have been cut down
There should be an "acts of god" section of your rental agreement. Check it out or seek legal council.
mbrcatz17 is 100% correct
call your insurance company and find out but i would say that it was their tree and they are responsible. if my parked car slid off a hill into your house, i am responsible. but i'm not certain
if they cut it down, then probably they are liable, if you did, then id say you were probably out of luck. If it was an act of god, in a trailer park, haha, forget it you are probably just lucky that it wasnt a tornado.
Only if they were negligent - ie, they KNEW the tree was likely to fall, and didn't do anything about it, OR, they were cutting the tree when it fell.
If it's the first case, you have to prove that they knew, which is VERY hard to do.
If this is just a weather related issue, then it's definately your trailer coverage that has to pay. Sorry!
