I'm a licensed, single person cleaning service. How or where can I get bonded and insured cheaply?
I'm in Florida. Work mainly in private homes, but sometimes commercial, offices, after construction, rentals etc..

contact an independant insurance agency. they should have a market for a general liability policy for the type work you do. also, there are bonding companies that will write a janitorial bond. try cna. should not be much to do that........

WHY do you want to get insured & bonded? It's really not needed in your case.
To answer the question, any independent agent can get you the insurance and the bond, but the rates are all going to be about the same - a fidelity bond is only going to cover your employees, and you don't have any - so the cost of the bond, about $800, isn't going to GET you anything, except the ability to honestly say that you are bonded. Plus, you'll have to personally guarantee the bond.
The insurance is going to run you about $1000 a year, just because you're a new business, and that's what janitoral services coverage costs! Which is why most individual cleaning people do NOT carry insurance.
