Can anyone advise whether the following are genuine companies 1.The National Lottery 2.Net Post Couriers?
Just receive mail from national lottery, inform me that i was won the uk national online sweepstakes International program held on 1st September 2006. They told me to contact the courier company to arrange the courier service. Then they charge me about 602 Pouns Sterling (mailing 34 pounds, Insurance 550 pounds and vat 5% 18 pounds). What i know from the Malaysia company insurance is no need to buy insurance for courier the bank cheque. Accually we courier like car or electronic goods. Please respon. -Rnas-
I hope you haven't paid those people anything. The best thing for you to always keep in mind, no matter what you are trying to do is that you do not need to pay anyone to claim a prize, get your compensation or collect funds due to you. I would say that is a scam.
It very much sounds like an advance fee fraud. You don't pay anything to receive a lottery payout, and you pay taxes to the GOVERNMENT, not the lottery company, and taxes are taken from the payout before you receive the check, you don't pay in advance.
