What is better?

HMO/PPO?

I know that HMO you have to have a referal. But what is a better insurance?
It is depend on your situation!

In Some States, there is only PPO available. HMO is available through the Group Insurance not from Individual.

Therefore, I recommend check with the licensed agent who you can trust.

I got a good quote from the following site;

The several real licensed agents will contact you with their best quote for your need once you enter your basic information.

Good Luck!
HMO's are typically cheaper, with less out-of-pocket expense.
I hardly ever go to the doctor (sinus infection, etc.) and therefore I prefer the HMO because it's less expensive. The network of physicians is quite large with my HMO.
My company is switching to a consumer directed health plan which is offered by Aetna. You are responsible for turning in your claims and where your money goes.

Answers:

I've always preferred PPO due to more choices. But check with people who have both in your network and see what they think.

HMO's are cheaper, PPO's give you more providers to choose from, but the medical care is the same.
PPO is superior. You will be attended to by far better physicians, which is an important factor.
Take it from one who knows.
You can go for an O/A HMO (open access) which has similar coverage to an HMO but you don't need a referral. It is a good plan, but cheaper than most of the others. It depends what state your in.
PPO is more expensive but i dont like being told what dr to see so go with ppo you will like it more in the end...it is worth it
