In insurance industry, why Tide agency is call Tide agency?

I am working at General Agency in Korea. People consider Tide Agency as an contrasting concept. Looking into the dictionary, I can not figure out why it is call as 'Tide Agency',,,, your help will be much appreciated. as you would expect reference will be greatly valued.

Maybe u are refering to Tied agency (maybe u want to check the spelling at your end) .

In Tied agency, the Insurance adviser just represent ONE insurance company. They will do financial planning for their client and sell their company products suitably. Usually these tied agency are rated the top 4 to 5 companies of surrounded by the country.

For General Agency, We call it the Independent Financial Advisory company. They can represent a few principal insurance companies and can go different company's products to client. Some insurance adviser or they ring up it Financial adviser ; will charge a levy to client for doing a total financial planning for them. Tied agency usually don't do that.
