Lost Digital Camera?
Hi,
Help, I can't find my camera!! I don't know where I gone it or if it was taken from my vehicle. Some friends said I should call my insurance company and see if they will cover it. Do you deem this is a good thought? Why or why not? It is a Konica Minolta camera, 6 mega-pix, bought new approx. 2 years ago from around $500.00 Cdn. Thanks.
Answers:
Nope, not covered.
Coverage would be beneath your homeowners policy or tenant homeowners policy, but "I can't find it" isn't a covered cause of loss on a policy. Current advantage for that camera is most likely smaller quantity than $200, and your deductible would probably be $250, so even if you DID have a "can't find it" motivation of loss (highly unlikely), it would be under the deductible.

if your trying to use sports car insurance on it, it will not work
also try to look around your home
Wouldn't hurt to call and ask but I really doubt it's covered.
Make a police report if you can't find it at home. You say-so you thik it might have be in the vehicle, and possibly stolen...then ring Insurance.
if it's insured, call the insurance company and ind out. If not, ya better acquire looking some more. Just in bag you're wondering, I don't have it. I have this camera all along.....
So how do you turn this piece on, anyway?
.Filing a small claim like this will merely cause your premiums to increase and it may not be covered contained by your policy. You may have coverage surrounded by your home owners policy.
