Will my fiances condition insurance money for my medical contemplation during pregnancy after we bring married?
I am 4 weeks pregnant I am marrying my finace on June 30th. He works for Jewel-Osco and have pretty good vigour insurance. Is the insurance company going to pay adjectives the expenses during my pregnancy after we get married or not?
Answers:
It adjectives depends.
Your best bet to figuring out your coverage is to obtain your fiance/husband to call his form insurance provider and ask them. There should be an 800 number you can call to confirm what coverage at hand is.
You will also need to verify if the "change within status" (in this case, marriage) will kind the insurance coverage instantaneous. Some insurances will make you do a waiting spell before you are insured. I'm sensibly sure that marriage is an instant coverage shield. Your fiance/husband has probably already served his waiting extent time before he be covered.
I don't think pregnancy technically qualify as a "pre-existing" condition which is something insurers will use to deny coverage. But I'm not an insurance expert.
Lastly, I don't think that the insurance will reward for anything that you have already remunerated for in regard to your pregnancy or general form. Only when coverage starts (on or after June 30th).
In light of adjectives that, CONGRATULATIONS on your pending nuptials!

In regard to your update about your citizenship, I do not assume that not having a SSN will be much of a problem. I expect with your married status that it would cover you. They may require you to bring back some form of government ID though. I, again, stress the entail to talk to the insurance company to verify adjectives of this.
Also, CVS just purchased Jewel-Osco-Savon so that may enjoy some bearing on what happen to the insurance plan.

I strongly urge you to call them, not us.
All you have to do is call for the insurance company to find out whether they have a preexisting clause. There should be a customer service phone number on his card.

I work at Blue Cross & Blue Shield After you get hold of married, if your husband 's plan is like most, you will enjoy 30 days to be added to the plan no questions asked.
If you miss this 30 year period you might hold to get a physical to be judge eligible for the health concern plan.
Congrats on your marriage and pregnancy. Don't forget to turn contained by the paperwork for the insurance.
once you obtain married, your husband should be able to include you to his health plan instantly with no form questions (HIPAA). If you have no prior coverage, the insurer may impose up to a six month exclusion (waiting period) for pre-existing conditions (your pregnancy). Expenses you incur after the six months must be covered even for a pre-existing condition. Your abdication expenses should be covered based on the facts you supply.
read your husband's benefits booklet (insurance certificate) and have him ask his benefits administrator if the booklet is unclear.
biddable luck and congratulations.
You will hold to ask them to find out for sure - some companies will exclude pre-existing conditions if they weren't insured before (and a pregnancy is considered pre-existing). Others will cover it, especially if he's member of a large group policy.
Regardless, you'll own to contact them to find out which expenses are covered, and if you will have any co-payments or deductibles.
