Geico insured & lost deductible & damages thru Progressive arbitration. What's my subsequent step and who do I sue?
On Aug. 12, 05 @ 2:30 p.m. I was driving towards transfer of funds window within undergrouund parking garage for scheduled bridal makeover at 3:00 pm. Wedding be at 4:30 p.m. A Progressive insured suddenly switched lanes and run into the passenger side of my car, cause damages on the doors. Progressive insured gave me adjectives pertinent information. Only words to me was "miss I did not even see you. Handle it anyway you see fit". Could not call for police because of the time and the scheduled bridal opportunity. I have a $1,000 deductible on my coup¨¦ and I paid almost $600 out of pocket for a rental which last two weeks. I was told by Geico referred body shop that repair will singular take give or take a few 3 or 4 days, but took about 2 wks to capture my car. Situation go into arbitration because Progressive refused to clear. Now Geico called to inform me that I lost and I receive nought. Who's responsible? Why should I be out of $1,600 because of another person's recklessness. Plz recommend. Progr insured lives in Conn. I'm within NY.
Answers:
Pay you $50 and sue the other driver and his carrier contained by small claims court. If you win and they do not appeal, then you will obtain your money. However, if you lose, then forget it. Legal costs will be more than your seeking. They know this and to be precise why they will likely appeal. Remember, the binding arbitration is between too companies and does not stop you from seeking taking back through the courts, if you can afford it.

Sue the Gecko!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, I have no permitted knowledge. But polite luck. If Geico isn't going to go to bat for you, you would probably own to sue the other guy directly in small claims court. I would switch insurance companies if this is the best they could do for you.
