My dad is a Veteran of Vietnam, he is at the point of he life where on earth he really needs to see a dotor just about his health...in connection with his heritage, diabetes and blood pressure and some serious dental work too. I am really worried for him. He is a very thorny worker, and won't just pilfer a min for himself, he is always almost helping others first and work work work.... He rally requirements a break, he was self employed most of his existence dealing with asbestos training populace to remove it properly, and actually doing it himself too... years ago they didn't enjoy the safety they hold now to do business with that stuff properly, he have no health insurance and can't afford any really. So what i am asking is within anyone out there that know who I can talk to something like the VA hospitals about getting him covered by the VA or something... don't they find benefits, or some sort of assistance... I am worried that they won't help because he wasn't injured surrounded by the military

He should contact the local VA representative right away. I simply had a friend denied by the VA because he never used them and his time to claim have expired.
yes he is elligible for benifits including medical and such. you can call the V.A. and carry him started on the paperwork and get him some medical if he desires it. that was a firm war to come stern from and he may still feel guilt or that he doesnt deserve anything for anyone over there. its rough but if you reach a deal about it and adopt his answer then it may work out. but name the va and at least draw from a information pamphlet or something so that he can look at it.
