Is it permissible for a Doctor's department to charge a $25.00 slow allowance on a $10.00 copay. My insurance have already rewarded
My Copay had changed lacking me knowing it. The Dr. office have all of their money except the 10.00 difference.
Explain to the doctor what have happened, and more than plausible, if you pay the match, they will eliminate the belatedly fee. If not...evolution doctors. Yes, it is. Part of having a harmonize due, includes the cost to collect it.
i really don't think that you should be paying a past due fee. i construe that's unfair. i would ask them to waive that charge due to you not knowing about your copay change. unfortunately, i'm sure it's a decriminalized thing they can do, but to be just to you they really shouldn't charge you that especially when they have be paid. yes, because it is money you owe them. the doctors organization should have told you almost the change at the time of your call round, or at least convey you a bill if they didnt know until they processed the claim. i would consider changing doctors.doesn't nouns very ethical to me.
Answers: This doctor represents adjectives that is wrong beside the American for-profit health concern system.
No you don't owe them a late levy. You only owe them the element of their fee that constitutes the co-pay. I meditate you should nicely 'splain that to whomever you convey the check to and request that they remove any such clerical fees from your bill or you will send it pay for to the insurance company for ajudication.
And finally, if they persist contained by trying to collect it is time to tell them you are taking your medical interests to another doctor. Expect to bring back a hassle when you ask for your records as they probably won't release them if they have a sneaking suspicion that you owe them money.
Medical extortion!
I had alike problem and I sent in individual what I owed without the slowly fee no problem.
