What if my healthcare provider sent me to collections, and then my insurance company paid them more money?

I was waiting for my insurance company to update information, and my account was sent to collections two days before i called to set up a payment plan. Am i still responsible for the balancein collections or will they have to pay collections what my insurance payed the hospital?

Answers:
If your insurance has payed your bill, that should be the end of it. That does not, of course mean that you will not still be plagued by collectors. Repeatedly informing them that the bill has been paid will eventually stop the collectors.
