Insurance claim - loss adjusters drop by?
I had a pop in today from the loss adjuster who is handeling my insurance claim. The meeting go well and he seem very kindly.
What is a loss adjusters role in an insurance claim? Is the loss adjuster the individual who decides on weather or not a claim should be paied and if so the ammount to be paied out?
Thanks
No stupid answers from gleam thanks
YES YOU GOT IT IN ONE.
The Loss Adjuster is appointed to feel the claim ON BEHALF OF the Insurance Company.
The Adjuster is not independent. That's not to say that they won't manipulate your claim in a tolerant manner - a moment ago something to remember.
Answers: That's exactly what an insurance adjuster does.
We investigate the claim - determine what coverage applies - write the estimate for destruction and if appropriate - pay you.
