If you database a claim will your homeowners insurance budge up?

I have frozen rain damage to my house and own to file a claim. Thank you.
Mine didn't but I don't live in a house.Sorry I hope its not to bleak. We get hell defacement around here every day near these two teen aged boys.HAHA.
If that's your first claim in times past five years, likely it won't step up - it's probably be classified as a "cat" claim.

Ask your agent, though, to be sure.

Answers:   I've be told by adjusters that its not only the amount of the claim but more normally the number of claims and frequency that will make your premiums increase or even dissolution. One claim may or may not make it increase. Your previous history will also play a division. Depends on whether you have the available dosh to fix it or whether you want to play the odds beside the insurance co. Best of luck
