HSA Health Savings Account: can be used for overseas medical expenses?

Can I use money in my HSA for medical thoroughness I receive outside the US?

Answers:   Yes, you can. However, any medication you receive must be legal contained by that country and in the US or you cannot use the HSA funds, nor can you use the funds to improperly import medication from another country.

I couldn't find anything prohibiting the medical expense contained by another country - I think it's going to depend on what the expense be for.

I DID find something at the IRS website, saying medication you purchase in other countries and introduction legally are covered, but if they're improperly imported (like prescriptions from Canada) they are NOT covered.
