What Does It Cost To Insure A Home Daycare?

I want to insure a home daycare in Michigan. I will own 6 kids, is nearby anybody surrounded by Michigan that can hand over me an impression of what insurance rates are approaching? Everytime I try asking an agent they want adjectives my information first and next I gain a ton of second-hand goods post! Thanks.

Yep, it ranges. Berkshire Mutual used to do a "daycare liability" agreement on a homeowners policy for $400. It did NOT include abuse/molestation coverage. I don't know if they're still doing it, or if they even write in Michigan.

If you do stand alone coverage, it's probably going to run you closer to $1500, near abuse/molestation excluded, $2500 beside it included. Oh, and a/m is ONLY for defense costs, not judgements.

Agents can't quote this in-house. The apology they call for the information, is they hold to spread out an application and submit it to a wholesale insurance broker. If the application isn't complete, they can't grasp a quote.

Insurance companies aren't crazy roughly speaking writing daycare insurance, so you enjoy to jump to a "specialty" company.
