Is metlife a good company to work or united america?

looking for a career in insurance not sure which one is good company to be a part of. which will pay you will and not rip u off.
Any input?
I would keep looking. Both Met and United American are captive companies. They only want you to write their products. Of the two, I would say Met probably has the better range of products, but why don't you look for an agency that offers products from several companies?
Dont know if they are good to work for. But they are terrible to deal with.

There are many others to look at before deciding. United America is a tough way to go. even though they say they have a lead system, most of it is cold calling and hard to get appointments. They do hold some of your commission in a "bank" to offset any charge-backs. And you have to have a lot of sales to get enough commissions to really make any money.

Metlife would be the better of these two, but still have a lot of cold calling.

Find a company that has a good lead system so when you call, you can get the appointments set.
I have a friend who has worked at Metlife for many years and they even paid for him to get his MBA, so if you are looking for career advancement it would be a great company to work for. I don't really know anything about United America though.
it is up to you but ask around you and listen to rumors
