How much does a life insurance agent make yearly ?
It is true that more than 90% will not last a year. Finding the right opportunity with the best lead system is the key, then ACTIVITY!
That will depend on how much sales/policies he or she closes.
I sat across from a life insurance agent 2 weeks ago that made 350,000 in one year, at the age of 28, and has only been in the business for 2 years. (He closed to estate planning cases and 5 412(i) cases. If you go outside the traditional life insurance market, and venture into business and estate planning, it can be very profitable.

The AVERAGE is probably $5,000. That's because 95% wash out in the first year. The average of the guy that DOESN'T wash out, is around $40,000. It's hard, hard work, and you put in about 80 hour weeks to make your $40,000.
One in a thousand will make six figures their first year.
This is my second year. I made about 90,000 my first year and should make well over 100,000 this year. I am relentless though. I recruited a lot of agents to sell under me, which earns me an override commission. It is all about getting the best products and the best lead system and you HAVE to be able to work lead lists on the phone. You can make 100k if you set your mind to it. Do not listen to all the negative talk about how hard it is. It is not how hard you work but how smart. If you do both then you really will do well.
