My snowplow man hit my house and did some blight. Do snowplow guys own to transport insurance for this?

I live near Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Would someone plowing snow within be required to carry insurance for this sort of article? The damage, which be accidental, will cost at smallest a few thousand to repair. My insurance will cover it, but my insurance company might go after the snow plow guy for it. Would he be covered? Should he be?

Thanks

Answers:    His motor insurance would be who would pay for this - regardless if he have snowplow insurance or not.

Your car insurance pays for damages to other's property, whether that be another vehicle or a house. Unless he be driving illegally short car insurance, you are covered by him.

They should get insurance. It is the snow plow guys fault - his insurance should pay envelope for it. Anytime your hire someone to do work at your home - any work - you should ask to see their liability and workers comp insurance.
