Current Claim Adjusters?
What type of education or degree did you have when you first became an adjuster?
I have a BA in Psychology. Most insurance companies simply want a college degree. I had ZERO adjusting experience, and that worked to my favor, as many companies want to train you "their way". Best thing to do is check out the major carriers' websites under careers.
Good luck.
You need to be at least 18 years of age, pass the state exam, and have a clean background.

I had a general liberal arts degree (a BA.)
It's possible to get a degree in insurance, but it's very unusual, and not really required for the job. If you have good people skills and are willing to learn, you could probably get an entry level position regardless of what you studied in college.
