The bonding company decides whether you are an acceptable bonding risk. Having committed a crime does not necessarily make you unbondable; having no criminal record does not automatically make you bondable. One thing is for sure, if you lie to them you will not be bondable, now, or maybe ever.
It will depend on what you did, why you did it, and how you have lived since. If it was theft, or something like theft, you are probably unbondable. If it was unrelated to the purpose for which you are being bonded, it may not matter, as long as you admit to it.
