Does Home Insurance cover vandalaism to a vehicle ?
Someone threw a bunch of salt into the gas cistern of my 89 chevy van. Found this out since the van wouldn't start. Spent a bunch to have it flushed, get pump, filter replaced. Now have a sunhat with a lock. My auto insurance is purely liablity for the van.
NO
No. The homeowners policy specifically excludes any coverage for your car.
If you want vandalism coverage for a sports car, you have to buy it on your motor policy. Sorry.
and regarding Tori's answer - liability on a homeowners doesn't cover DELIBERATE ACTS, unless they be done by a child under the age of 13. You could sue the parents, or the character, but their policy WON'T cover it, unless the perp is under 13.
Answers: NO - yours does not...
But if you know who did it - and they or their parents have a Homeowners policy beside "Damage to others property" on it - that would pay your repair bill...If you can prove (or win them to admit) they did it
No
Homeowners insurance will not cover a vehicle contained by any way.ever.
What I would read aloud is no. Home Insurance doesn't cover vehicle insurance. You should have have insured your car through sports car insurance long back:) But, what seem now you would enjoy to look for the areas where you return with the right car hospital and buy the parts from where on earth you get them within wholesale rates. That's the only style you save. Take consideration:) No, homeowners insurance will only cover the contents of your van, not the van itself. Comprehensive coverage included contained by your auto policy would have covered this.
