Basically though as others have said it depends on the complexity of the loss, how long it take to substantiate the loss and put either a helpfulness on on the item or arrange repairs. If you not happy next to the length of time, firstly complain to the insurer - they will hold deadlines underneath the FSA to answer your complaint and if you're still not happy afterwards take it to the Financial Ombudsman to resolve.
Depends! There are claims that take partially an hour to settle, there are claims that pocket years! Company, specific matteer in foot, local law, place for intercession, extent of claim..so many variables!

Unfortunately we do not live within Utopia and although I have have an insurance claim resolved in three weeks, I hold also seen an insurance claim whip over a year and heard of frequent that have taken longer.

Some claims can be settled contained by days. And if they are that simple, the insurance companies would rather settle them off than suspension, because delay a short time ago adds more cost.
