It depends on how much your property worth. First of all, since you taking from an auto insurer, I assumed you insured your vehicle through them which gives you some 15% less if you insured a property and a vehicle together at one company. My property is insured for 409,000. It's 1 dwelling, 2 storeys, built in 2004. My property amount? I wont disclose...I pay 500.00 for a year round to its insurance.

Just the PROPERTY? About 5% of the value. Now, that doesn't include customers cars in their custody, any of the liability, the garage liability (liability for customer cars and/or repair plates), tow truck liability, workers comp, or any bonds needed if they do state inspections.
