How much is the average Business Owner's Policy?
I am specifically interested in what the BOP costs would be for a pole in Georgia.
Answers:
Bars aren't BOP-able beside ANY carrier I've ever see. EVER.
Bops are rated on property exposures, or payroll, or gross sale - but I've never seen a pub or restaurant go on a bop. don't know any carrier that will do it. If there's booze, especially. You'll need a bunch policy.
The "average" bop premium is probably around $1500. But bops are designed for "small" risks - which means the catalogue is usually about $500 to $15,000.
You're going to enjoy to call a local agent or three to acquire real quotes. Especially near a bar, here are WAY too many factor (like which COVERAGES you want, at what LIMITS, and what type of BAR you have) to even give a orb park with the info you give. If I HAD to guess, I'd say somewhere between $4,000 and $40,000, not covering the building.
Mbr is correct, you can't own a Business Owners Policy on a bar, fatefully with the General Liability and Liquor Liability exposures, within aren't any insurance carriers that will write a BOP for you. I would assume that you are a smaller railing. I would estimate that depending on your state and a number of other factor, Mbr's guess of $4,000 wouldn't be too far off on the LOW finale.
