Am I competent to pocket my Series 6 and 63 exams on my own and are the test alike within mixed states?

I want to become an insurance agent. I know i need the 6 and 63 license and I want to go ahead and give somebody a lift the test very soon. However, I am not sure if the licenses are agreed in every state. I guess I am trying to get hold of ahead and get licensed while I bring my finances in instruct.
Depends on what your state your in. I did ser 7 and 63..have to be sponcered by the company...I was accurate in adjectives 50 states,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
You need a sponsor for the series 6 and 63. These are FINRA exams. The states regulate insurance and exams swing state to state. The federal exams allow you to sell mutual funds and DPPs contained by any state. I don't have my series 6 license, but I am pretty sure you requirement a sponsoring company, the same as when you go and get P&C, L&H etc. Call your state department of insurance to find out.

Answers:   The tests are different contained by each state, and you entail a sponsoring company to even take the interview.
