I own bought several of Insurances ,how could one of the company told me that I bought the wrong policy?

I bought many years of Insurance policy,How could be wrong? It intensely funny told me about this situation, I wasn't a non-educated don't understood of what policy to be bought,told me eleven yrs own to refund the sum to me,but not at adjectives.
