Are insurance companies required to offer health coverage after COBRA expires?

if i leave my current employment, we have less than 20 employees. therefore, i would only be covered by our states (TN) mini-Cobra...and that only extends coverage for 3 months. does insurance like BCBS of TN have to offer health coverage after that expires? thanks.

No, they aren't. You would send in an application, and "apply" for coverage, just like anyone who DIDN'T have Cobra. Then it gets underwritten like any new business application.
