How can I locate missing insurance companies?
My father passed away approx 2 years ago and I have in my possession 3 small demise policies written on him.
I have been unqualified to locate any of the companies that issued them. What do you suggest I do? Or who should I notify?

I have made a index of all the Insurance groups' homepages.
Just check it. It may help you to achieve them.
Answers: It's almost certain that those companies are now factor of some much bigger group who will honour the policies but of course you have to find out who bought who.
Assuming you are surrounded by the US, one idea is.if you know which state the companies which originally wrote the policies was base (should be on the policy somewhere), you could try contacting the Insurance Commissioner for that state. Links to all US State insurance commissioners can be found at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) website 'naic.org'
Failing that if you have some insurance yourself, you could try asking YOUR insurer, they may give support to you in the name of honourable PR. never hurts to ask, they can only say no. But contact their PR or customer relations dept, not the usual customer contact or sale number as they won't give a fig.
If on the odd fortune you are in the UK (like me), the Association of British Insurers would be an excellent place to start. 'abi.org.uk'.
I wish you nouns
