Which companies provide innkeeper insurance policies within Missouri?
Please don't mention Allstate; they are the reason I'm asking this question!!
There are quite a few . . . but, what you're really asking is, how can you get brand new landlord coverage?
It's going to depend on how many unit you have. IF it's just one or two, you REALLY entail to insure it with the same company that writes the house you live contained by - no one is going to give you a accurate price on stand alone coverage.
If you don't have a primary homeowners, try foremost - www.foremost.com They insure low value homes, and will do a stand alone policy, but it will cost more than you can achieve through a company with your primary homeowners.
If you have a larger property, more than 4 unit, you need to just call round a local, independent agency. LOTS of companies write this, your problem is you're trying to find the best one, by being your own agent. Get a professional to do this for you.

In general, not purely in Missouri, most carriers that provide homeowners insurance, can write innkeeper as well. But there is a capture to some carriers: they don't just want the tenant insurance(dwelling fire) to be a stand-alone policy; they want your homeowners(primary) as well. So if you own a home, be expecting to switch your homeowners over to the new shipper, but make sure you get a accurate homeowners rate; or if you rent, get contents-only insurance (1st policy) so you can get the innkeeper insurance (2nd policy-secondary or dwelling fire)
