The work environment changed for an insurance agent?

Since technology is changing quickly, how does the work environment and the process tweaking in the future?

Answers:    Technoology have not eliminated paper from most insurance office - it seems to have increased it.

Also, larger insurers that hold purchased other insurers find themselves dealing with several different databases to manage respectively book of business. Apparantly it is very difficult to roll these databases into one. Doing research for a client on a policy that they bought elsewhere can be difficult because of this.

But there are advantages - I bring my laptop, scanner, cell phone and digital camera beside me and can work just about anywhere. Which is unbelievably nice.

I would be interested in hearing how others are finding the industrial changes!
