Jewelry appraisal, what would I expect to reward?
Answers: It depends on the appraiser. Some charge a % of the value of the items appraised, some charge per hour (one I know charges $95 per hour), some charge a flat levy per item (probably $50+). You would have to ask them since they appraise your items so you do not have sticker shock when you go and get the appraisal bill.
You should get a free appraisal from the place you purchased the item from but mind, if it is a lot more than you compensated, it is overinflated to make you feel you got other.
If you schedule the item on your insurance, they lone pay UP TO the appraised amount, if they can repair or replace for smaller quantity they will.
