Insurance for an item in need a unloading - flying from England to thailand?

I'm bringing a keyboard (a yamaha near Midi) that is reasonably expensive and worth a little bit of money. it be bought a few years ago, but it's a good little the ivories, and I'm coming back to Thailand within June this year after a month in England, but I want to ensure that if it go missing on the flight, I will be compensated. Because it is a gift, I don't hold a receipt, and even though its antiquated, it's still rather meaningful. How can I ensure that I have the basic documentation to prove to the insurance company that I had the baby grand at all if I don't hold a receipt? near must be something I can do. I'll insure it from England and thailand as Thai insurance companies have be dubious in times past when things like my phone have been stolen. Any relief would be appreciated. NB - I need to know English standards or Thai standards of proof, or how I can prove I hold it at all. I don't surmise American standards would be the same.

Answers:    If you hold not yet taken this trip and still hold the keyboard, I would recommend emailing a picture of it to your agent asking them to make the addition of it based on anything value it carry. Having your agent specifically add this item to your homeowners or renters policy will ensure that it is insured surrounded by the event of a loss.

If you have already lost it or have it stolen, then you will want to find pictures of the upright from before. Do you own a picture of it in the box from when you received it as a contribution? This may be enough, or you may have need of to get the character who purchased it for you may need to find the tally and verify they gave it to you as a grant. Hopefully, this is not the case.

Good luck to you!
