Is the Health Insurance system broken?
Purchasing health insurance if self-employed seem cost-prohibitive when it comes to deductibles, monthly cost, and coverage in standard. Seems like it is with the sole purpose good for catastrophic situations, otherwise too expensive.
Any thoughts?

The cost of insurance is simply a direct forethought of US hospitalization and drug costs. The average cost of a hospitalization here is $10,000 per day, a short time ago about anywhere contained by the country. That is just for a regular exactness hospital room, with surgury and other protection extra.
So, any reform which address "insurance" must in certainty address healthcare costs.
For the most part, any "insurance" plan that pays for department visits, generic perscriptions and other minor charges are a total debris of money. This is like buying auto insurance to rate for oil change.
Stick with catestrophic insurance for very soon. Eventually, only the governing body will be able to dictate hospital and drug prices, which will force brawny rationing on the system.
