Recgarding FDIC Insurance?

IF I OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH MY SOUSE AS A JOINT OWNER AND SHE OPENS AN ACCOUNT WITH ME AS A JOINT OWNER, BOTH ACCOUNTS IN THE SAME BANK-- THEN ARE WE COVERED FOR 200000 OR ONLY 100000

Answers:    The FDIC insurance is by social securtiy number. Therefore you would be covered for only 100,000. You could attain around that by opening a single description as a "POD" account beside each spouse as the other's beneficiary. Of course, contained by a divorce settlement, all bets are past its sell-by date! Best advice...break open a joint justification in 2 different bank!

It sounds as if you'll have 2 accounts next to both your names attached to them and they'll respectively be insured for $10,000. My advice is not to united your accounts-ever. You never know what your spouse is capable of if you obtain divorced.
